Fly to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. This city located on the plateau at an altitude of 2,438 meters was built by Menelik II in 1886. Upon arrival, we will take you to visit the National Museum, where the remains of the earliest ancestor ever discovered by human beings-Australopithecus “Lucy” 3.2 million years ago are treasured; Then visit the Holy Trinity Church, where the last emperor Haile Selassie I was buried.

Take a flight to picturesque Bahir Dar. In the morning, we will take you to a tour of the Nile waterfall, which is often accompanied by rainbows, and taste local mellow coffee. In the afternoon, take a boat tour of the vast Lake Tana and visit two ancient monasteries with a history of centuries in the lake. The murals of biblical scenes painted 250 years ago are well preserved and still bright in color.
In the evening, we stroll through the local market, and you can look for handwoven cloaks and scarves. Dinner will be a special experience-we are invited to visit local people’s homes to learn and taste the most iconic traditional delicacies of Ethiopia, such as ingira pancakes and fragrant Shiro stew.

In the morning, we will visit a remote traditional mountain village, and the villagers will welcome us with the most solemn Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Then take a bus for about 2 hours to Gondar, an ancient city known as the “Cameroon of Africa”. From the 17 th to 19 th centuries, it was the capital of the Ethiopian Empire, and successive emperors built dozens of castles here to show the glory of the empire. In the afternoon, we will visit the most magnificent of them all, the Facilidas Castle complex.

Take a flight to La Ribera, the highlight of this journey. At the end of the 12 th century, King lalibela ordered tens of thousands of craftsmen to dig down in hard volcanic rocks for 24 years and build 11 uncanny rock churches, which are known as “the eighth wonder of the world”. Today, we will visit six churches in the northwest, including the largest “Church of the Savior” (Bet Medhane Alem).
Today we will continue to explore the 5 rock churches in the southeast. The architectural styles here are more varied and irregular, the most famous of which is the Church of St. George (Bet Giyorgis). This perfect cross-shaped church is hidden deep underground and can only be reached through deep tunnels. Its majesty and exquisite are breathtaking.

Take a flight back to the capital. In the afternoon, we drive to Mount Entuo, the site of an early palace founded by Menelik II in 1881, which retains important relics such as the octagonal Church of Mariam and the magnificent Church of the Archangel Lagui.

At the farewell dinner, we will serve you a local mead (Tej), which will bring a successful conclusion to this extraordinary journey through history, nature and faith.
