In Poland’s picturesque Mazuri region, designer Marion Obuchowicz has created a poetic cottage. The designer deeply integrates the natural landscape with the local culture, and interprets the unique living spirit of Mazuri area.

The facade of the building is composed of rough wooden components and large-area glass windows, which is transparent inside and outside, and the natural scenery is seamlessly connected with indoor life. The whole space takes old wood as the core element, and the designer selects weathered pine, oak and century-old wood. Through the presentation of modern wood veneer and custom furniture, the space has the texture of time without losing the modern flavor.

The living room is wrapped in warm-toned wooden boards to create a welcoming atmosphere. The log frame made of century-old pine wood and the coffee table made of recycled wood boards set off each other, and with soft seats, it presents a natural and casual sense of life. The long oak table in the dining room is solemn but not heavy, which is not only the center of the party, but also the soul of the home.

The kitchen is set against a rustic woodgrain background with dark cabinets for a stark contrast. The layout emphasizes practicality and ceremony, and wide windows introduce natural light, creating a comfortable environment for cooking and dining.

The bedroom continues the combination of natural materials and soft tones, with distinct layers and restrained colors, creating a peaceful resting atmosphere. The corner of the office is decorated with custom desks and weathered wooden boards to inspire users’ creative inspiration.

The whole cottage is both a practice of spatial transformation and a conversation about design. It not only retains the temperature and memory of old materials, but also presents the freedom and truth of contemporary life.

The designer skillfully realized the integration of the past and the present in every inch of space, combining nature, craftsmanship and humanistic spirit into one, and constructing an ideal residence for the body and soul.
